Message: Any valley folk out there? Commuting from
Vallican to Nelson return is killing me with the price of gas. It would be great to meet locals who are interested in car pooling. My schedule is pretty flexible due to the nature of my job. Sadly, the Slocan bus is not working for me. I'm open to all inquiries.

I am looking for a ride from Nelson to the Spokane airport on November 30th, and another ride back to Nelson on December 15th, and would love to hear from anyone travelling to and from Spokane on those dates. I am happy to share gas/expenses and/or driving. I am a mature, responsible driver with a flawless driving record, in case an extra driver is wanted. I would expect to walk through the border separately, in case there are any concerns about crossing the border with strangers. Travel arrangements to Spokane (Nov 30, arriving before 4pm) have to be firm & reliable, because I can't afford to miss the flights... :) Thanks!

I'm willing to bet I'm writing this in the wrong spot but maybe someone appropriate will catch it and respond. This rideshare is a fantastic idea that I've taken advantage of before. I'm now back in my home town in Ontario and I want to get the same idea started up. I'm running a community weblog at http://www.theowen.com/go which services Owen Sound and the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario and we would like to run a rideshare program. What I'm wondering is if this program is your own creation or whether it is a shareware that we can also take advantage of. Either way we're going to get us a rideshare program for our area.
